Sylvain is a rather impressive figure, commanding a room by his voice and posture alike. He is tall by Elezen standards, towering over some of his own kin at 6 fulm, 10 ilm, with shoulders that are broad. His hair is a verdant green, framing his noble visage and square jaw. His eyes are fierce and a piercing, ice blue, and a long scar runs down his left eye.He is almost always glad in a tailored jacket, lined with fur and bearing the colors of sigil of his House. It is made of the finest silks and cloths, and close inspection of the garment would reveal Ishgardian symbols woven into the fabric in a repeating fashion. The rest of his garb consists of fine leather gloves, a pair of tailored black trousers, and knee-high boots of quality leather.
Personality
A kind and honorable man to his core, Sylvain is always warm and welcoming, offering a friendly voice to all that he comes across. He lacks much of the haughty arrogance present in a great number of his fellow nobles, and he maintains a genuine interest in the lives and goings-on of others.A great lover of knowledge and history, he is always open to conversations regarding such things, and displays an exuberance behind his eyes when doing so. He is no stranger to professing his political beliefs, and his progressive ideals and nature betrays him often, never one to shy away from wielding his influence as a noble for the betterment of all, nor challenging those who still remain rooted in the ways of the conservative past.

Gifted Intellect - Afforded one of the finest available educations thanks to his noble birth, Sylvain is highly educated in the fields of history, language, and culture. She is a skilled healer, and Yseult is often a confidant for his guarded mind and advisor to his political ambitions.

One of the few who Sylvain considers truly a friend, Avelle is his adoptive sister and a gifted scholar of magic. Though he recognizes her own ability to defend herself, he considers her family, and he will put himself at great risk to see her safe, whether she likes it or not.

The elderly butler of House Argenvent, Francisque Delours has known Sylvain since birth, having served House Argenvent for nearly all his life. A kind, compassionate man, Sylvain views Francisque akin to a second father, as the Elezen helped raise both he and his sister.Francisque was the first person Sylvain revealed his true identity to, and has been a longtime confidant and aid to his vigilante activities. He cares utterly for both Sylvain and Yseult, and he ensures their House is run with respect and dignity.

Nightwind is a mighty and powerfully built silhouette, having honed his form near to physical perfection over the many decades. He towers over others at 6 fulm, 10 ilm, with eyes of a fierce blue. He walks with a purpose of the utmost kind, and never is he seen without the foreboding plate armor of Nightwind.Dyed dark purple, black, and silver, with accents of gold, the armor is of exquisite make, forged years ago in the fires of Ishgard. The armor, which covers his entire form, is primarily comprised of layered plate atop leathers and a suit of chainmail, with several adornments of cloth for embellishment and personal taste.His chosen weapon, like all that walk the path of the dark knight, is a massive greatsword. His is a storied weapon with a fearsome blade, adorned with geometric patterns and runic engravings, and it is never far from his reach.
Personality
A disciplined and honorable man to his core, Nightwind has spent decades tempering the darker emotions within him into formidable weapons against corruption and evil. For the most part, he has been successful. He is outwardly stoic and can appear grim at times, though beneath this rough exterior rests a courageous and determined warrior. His use of dark arts stems only from his fervent desire to defend his home and the innocent, and those who know him find it evident that he will do whatever to takes to ensure those who inflict their malice upon others are met with true justice.Yet, his path has bred within him a zealous and vengeful streak. His years of battling the evil and the corrupt has left him paranoid and overprotective, and those he sees as too weak to face the evils of the world he will protect without question, sometimes too much so. If he has taken anything from the darkness within him, it is pride. Some may even call it hubris, for he has nothing but confidence and certainty in his own abilities, and while it is not all to his detriment, he bears scars that remind him otherwise.
Abilities
Peak Physiology - Though by no means superhuman, Nightwind has trained his body to a pinnacle of physical condition. His strength, stamina, and agility are highly conditioned through intense training and practices learned throughout his worldly travels. He has further acclimated himself to a number of the world's toxins, granting him a measure of immunity.
Master Combatant - Nightwind is a fearsome combatant, one of the deadliest opponents any could face, who wields the combat arts with an almost supernatural mastery. His skill with the traditional Dark Knight greatsword is near unmatched, and he is highly trained in Ishgardian spear and longsword techniques. Through years of training with martial artists during his worldly travels, he has developed a personalized style of unarmed combat to fit his needs.
Ninjutsu - Nightwind is a highly trained ninja, a master of the ninjutsu arts taught by the ancient Hingan order known as the Order of the Black Lotus. His skill with stealth and infiltration are matched only by a select few, and he has mastered many of the mudras employed by Black Lotus shinobi. It is through his ninja training that he has mastered unity of body and mind, with a clarity and devotion unseen in many.
Master Detective - Nightwind is capable of observation, forensic investigation, and inductive and deductive reasoning of the highest caliber. Human intuition is an unlearnable trait and one of Nightwind's most effective tools in his fight against crime. Given any mystery, he can arrive at the correct conclusions with only a relatively small amount of information.
Occult Magics - In addition to the arcane dark arts of the Dark Knight, Nightwind has been taught in a number of magical traditions from around the world, which has incorporated into his arsenal of magical abilities. He is learned in the geomancy of the Far East, alchemical magecraft of the Near East, the arcanima of the South Sea isles, and other less known traditions of the arcane and eldritch. His knowledge of magic is vast, and is considered by some to be one of Ishgard's most gifted occultists.
Intimidation - Nightwind is highly trained in the art of intimidation, able to instill fear into others with little more than his gaze, demeanor, and the application of choice words.
Indomitable Will - Like many who walk the path of the Dark Knight, Nightwind's determination is nigh unstoppable and he possesses a great strength of will. He is able to press on when others might not, and withstand the detriments of physical and mental strain.

Nightwind has been a dedicated crusader against corruption and evil for over ten years, and has earned a reputation as a feared instrument of justice among the corrupt and powerful, and a dedicated avenger by the downtrodden and oppressed.
In his youth, he traveled the world to learn from masters of foreign magics and martial techniques. His journeys took him everywhere from Gyr Abania to the Far East and other, less known lands.
Following the downfall of the corrupt Holy See, he has since turned his eye to combating the new wave of corruption and crime within Ishgard, and he is always prepared to mete out his brand of justice to those most deserving.

Jacques Giroux is a Knight-Lieutenant in the Ishgardian Temple Knights and Nightwind's most trusted ally. Originally assigned to capture the errant vigilante, Giroux soon came to view his activities as doing good for the city and the two have since developed a trusted working relationship.Nightwind has assisted Giroux in numerous criminal investigations and is the primary law enforcement official to whom he delivers captured criminals. The mutual respect between the two men has developed into a real friendship - as much as one can be friends with a masked vigilante.
The Master
Grandmaster Ninja | Enigmatic Mentor
The Hingan Raen known only as 'The Master' is the man who trained Sylvain in the ways of the ninja and the enigmatic leader of the Order of the Black Lotus. He took Sylvain in after he journeyed to their remote mountain monastery and agreed to train the Elezen in his order's ancient ways.After years of training, Sylvain grew to be The Master's greatest student, becoming the first to best him in single combat. It was The Master who contributed most to the hardened man Sylvain became, and Nightwind's armor is partly made in homage to the mysterious ninja.
